Quick update for the peoples

I'm tired. As you already know, this month has been a shit show. Right now I'm traveling across the country with my mother, who is in her late 70's, and her two elderly dogs, while I am driving a 20' Uhaul truck. It's not a lot of fun, especially driving this POS truck through cities.
...and when I say across the country, I mean across the country, too. Google maps said it'd take 35 hours, and it's turning out to be longer than that.
I was planning to work in my hotel room every night (I've been on the road for 3 days already), and my plan was to do a last bit of editing and upload a ton of chapters. But last night, I pretty much crashed as soon as I ate. Every day has been like that, and the day before I left, I was getting ready to go.
So this entire month, I've only really had like a week and a half to work. RIP.
Also, this is not a new discovery for me, but truck drivers, your job is fucking hard. Not knowing where you're going, especially at night, is hard on your mind and can screw with your senses. The whole thing is hard on your body to drive all day, and you can't drink as much water as you're supposed to, so you kind of have to gorge at night after stopping... wild.
Anyway, I'm still going to try to get some chapters up tonight, but this is going to be a pretty lame month to be a Blaise Corvin Patreon patron. The folks who are here for Past Life Hero, you might want to skip a month and come back after that.
For everyone else who is still here supporting me next month, bless you. I promise that next month will not have all these interruptions, unless we have asteroids or an alien attack.
For newcomers, I'm slow and inconsistent, but this month has been a special kind of challenging for me.
As an apology next month, I will post more chapter of some of my special projects I've been working on for the last year or two, and I think I'll keep them Patreon-only.

I’m truly sorry for the difficulties you are going through and I hope you travel safe and stay sane as best you can. I personally hate driving and couldn’t imagine doing what you’re doing. Best of luck to you and life just has a way of kicking us all sometimes.

Don't push yourself TOO far unless the need is pressing) while driving an awkwardly large vehicle you are not fully accustomed to. It isn't just the fatigue from the long drive piling up but the accumulated stress since the hurricane as well. Your mom's safety and your own should come first.

Hello! I’m new here, I’ve come after reading and loving LPH1. Honestly, I’ve decided since yesterday that I’m not continuing my membership for next month for monetary reasons. But, seeing your message, I wanted to let you know that I’m super impressed with your work-ethic, that you are doing a freaking great job and that is entirely normal that your rythme and writing are impacted by what you’re going through. Honestly, all I feel is awe towards the fact that you still try to continue working and sadness because it’s obvious that the fact you cannot write as usual weighed heavily on you. But that’s okay. Fewer chapters ? Who cares. I don’t. Life happens. Shit happens. I’ll be back in December, and you will be back too eventually. In my language, there is this : “Le soleil vient après la pluie” which literally means “the sun comes after the rain” and truly means that after every dark times there is good times ahead. Right now, the sun seems far away, but it’ll come, at some point, because it always does. In the meantime, I’m sending ton of love and courage your way. You got this !
