Poor kid. Yeah. It's very hard being the child of a homosexual couple or divorced parents. Kids tend to judge. I like how she gently holds him and explains to him what's going on. Poor Ali has a traumatizing imagine spot. Hope that this chapter has a happy ending for him and his family.

Maybe it's because I grew up with lots of kids who had divorced parents, but it seems weird to me that Ali would catch more flack for his parents not being married than his parents being a lesbian couple. Like if you call your mom's boyfriend "dad" that would be fine, maybe even a good thing since it shows your close enough to your step dad to call him "dad", but two moms will either catch you flack from kids raised homophobic, or parents who are homophobic. (Also now im imagining a parent makes a stink about Adrian and Hilde and Eliza and Henry coming in to defend them and risking their reputation in the process. Maybe that becomes some sort of dramatic bridge burning moment where their shaky relationship with the church crumbles.)

Jonas is cooking with the colors I really like how this issue looks so far, also Hilde’s longer ponytail with the electric blue rocks, this is probably one of my new fav pages of the whole comic, it’s sad but also really funny to see inside Ali’s mind again and hope we get more of these bits

That's an interesting concern. I feel like the kid might take it mildly out of context but he probably doesn't no better. Then again he really shouldn't know better yet either and I'm overthinking it again
