I’m releasing 0.5.27, the first preview of the remake Act 1. This marks the beginning of staged releases, where updates will drop every two weeks with whatever is ready until Act 1 is complete. This approach allows me to show the project is alive and progressing while giving you something tangible to play.
This 0.5.27 release is public for everyone to enjoy. Moving forward, subsequent updates will be exclusive to paid members at launch, as per the usual Patreon structure.
A Remaster? No, A Remake...:
What started as a simple remaster, obviously no longer applies here. For a long time now, it’s been a full remake, and that was poor communication by me:
Every dialogue line has been revised, with many scenes drastically rewritten or reimagined.
New scenes have been added.
Full 1080p resolution.
Visual consistency and many improvements across the board.
On Support:
For the past two months, I’ve paused payments as a gesture of goodwill while working very hard on the remake without compensation. However, this isn’t sustainable long-term. By releasing 0.5.27 now, I can resume development under more reasonable terms while continuing to focus on quality.
If you’d prefer to wait until the entire Act 1 remake catches up, that’s totally fine. I understand and appreciate your patience!
A note about progress:
The images for all of Act 1 are DONE, but don’t underestimate how much effort goes into the writing, scripting, and late stage improvements. Even 0.5.27, which has fewer new scenes compared to later sections, took weeks to polish, and I ended up adding a few new CGs to make it more engaging.
Please remember, this is not my full-time job. I’m a solo developer handling everything - art, script, coding, and more. It’s very easy to underestimate how long these tasks can take. I massively underestimated this myself and have learned some tough lessons along the way (and have the scars to prove it).
The big picture:
This remake has taken much longer than I ever anticipated, but the foundation feels so much stronger now. Some decisions I’ve made might not resonate with everyone, and I know I’ll make mistakes here and there, but the game is in a place that feels much more polished and cohesive to me.
The only thing I truly miss from the original version is the animations. However, they’re not forgotten - they’re just better suited for a later stage of development as they are incredibly time-consuming, and once they’re done, they’re difficult to refine or tweak.

Hey, idk where you're at with the update but I personally would prefer a consistent cadence without the polish you'd want from yourself rather than taking an extra day here and there to make sure each update is just right. If things are broken or unfinished in the update you push, then at least we always know we'll be getting a fix in two weeks. I get the worry over the inevitable hate comments but the update you gave us two weeks ago was absolutely incredible and it still got a ton of hate on different platforms. You've got a solid base of people here that love your work and just want to see momentum and engagement. I personally will be really excited to get any incremental progress so I really hope you find a way to stick to the every two week timeline.

You still got the romantic part down Tori. Is it me or did you make them more devoted to each other and stronger here than before? I hope it stays like that. I appreciate you setting the foundation for them like in the drowning scene and their pillow talks. Almost like you're beating me over the head telling me to stop worrying about it. I can't lie and say Kento's fears are relatable 😂 my biggest fear has always been Terrace since he's the closest to both of them so it feels impossible for feelings to not develop between them when it happens. Obv I shouldnt be worrying about it but it's mostly because of the beginning scenes that it makes me wonder if you plan on writing them romantically at one point since this is NTS.

Mi ingles no es muy bueno por eso pido disculpas de ante mano, el dibujo es sublime me gusto como agregaste escenarios nuevos y los detalles de personas en el fondo que le dan un toque mas vivo a cada escenario, pero lo que no me gusto fue que no tenia animacion los actos sexuales como los de la primera entrega pero por todo lo demas super bien

The quality of the remake blew my expectations out of the water. Massive improvement in every measurable metric. You can tell the effort Tori has put in, as well as how much he has improved since the original release. The staged release plan is a smart move, should provide Tori some breathing room and time to see the communities feedback. Great work!

Dude the previous update was one of the best games I've ever played from this type if not the best, you are quite genius with all the teasing and the dialog, I haven't played this update yet but when i read “Bad ending exist" i really hate bad endings, and i wish you can explain how to avoid it, any way im really thankful that you are back and i appreciate every thing you do, hope you the best ❤️

Love the dialogue, the story feels very natural and engageing, but I think some of the variables are messed up. I wanted to set up a dom and a sub save, but couldnt get the points right when i picked dialogue, so i checked the script, and it really seems like there are some sign errors. E.g. in one of the afternoon choices on day 1, the option "submit to her teasing" is apparently the most dominant one you can pick, which doesnt feel like how it is supposed to be.

I love this version of the game, it feels much more coherent to me. Also, for me personally, no animations beyond what you are already doing are necessary.

i dont know if im looking at this the wrong way, but it seems to me like the options and what happens are the opposite of what your point meters descriptions say it should be. if im crazy just let me know, but it feels backwards from how i read the description at the beginning, at least for the first day

Hell yeah! So excited for this. I've already been playing for hours and I'm at the end of the second night, this is way more than I thought this *preview* would have. Idk how much longer I have left to go but I'm excited to find out. The additions feel really substantive and the art is incredible. Two requests if at all possible: once the gallery is implemented it would be nice if it shows what route missing pictures are on for completionists, since the new choices have missable content, second could you make a mode that makes the backgrounds and cgs static for those of us playing on a potato? I know that would mean going back through every cg so obvi more of a long term thing, but eventually it would be nice to have on the roadmap.
