🕑 Added 2025-03-15 03:00:06 +0000 UTCthe smell of coffee reaches me first, but i’m still somewhere between sleep and waking. i hear you moving, feel the bed dip as you crawl back in beside me, your body warm against mine. i should wake up, but between the jet lag and the time change, my body refuses. you don’t seem to mind. you just press closer, set the mugs down, coil yourself around me like you have no plans of letting me sleep much longer. i groan, bury my face against you, but the coffee’s there, and so are you, and little by little, i start to wake up. no plans, nothing pulling us away, just time. you shift against me, settle in like you’re not going anywhere. my arms tighten around you, my mind finally waking up.

During the time change last weekend, I went to bed at like 3:30am, and had to leave the house by 6:15am for an appt. I was so fucking tired. But I came home and rested after that. 😇😴😴😴 I bet jet lag sucks, especially when you’re always traveling.

I mostly hear from other parents how dst is the bane of their existence because it messes with their kids’ sleep schedules so much, meanwhile we’re over here completely unaffected lol

I live in Saskatchewan Canada and it doesn’t exist here either! We’re the only province in the country that stays on the same time all year lol (except for Yukon Territory I believe)
