🕑 Added 2025-03-21 04:37:16 +0000 UTCi wake up to the phone ringing on my bedside. whenever you call me late, i usually know exactly what that means. the moment i hear your voice on the other end, i know what you need. you just woke up from another nightmare. all i can think is i should’ve stayed with you tonight. you knew i had work in the morning, so you insisted that i not stay over but i shouldn't have listened. i’m already rolling out of bed, already searching for clothes, already telling you to hold tight. literally just five minutes, that’s all i need, and i'll be on my way over. it doesn’t matter how late it is. if you need me, then i'll be there to take care of you. i’ll be at your door before you know it, and once i’m there, we’ll get you back to sleep the right way.

This audio is beyond sweet. I love that she requested your shirt. She was most likely looking for it when she woke up, as a way to comfort herself because you weren’t there. Then decided to ring you. 🥹 I get her anxiety over waking you up, over making sure you get there safe…I’d feel immense guilt if I woke someone up, have them get dressed & drive over just to comfort me. All while being on edge after a nightmare. Thank you for showing such kindness & gentleness.
