I seem to recall Coral's parents being less than accepting of her nudist lifestyle, I think? Might be imagining that though. I can't say that I'm terribly surprised to hear that they've done a background check on the crew, if nothing else than as part of ensuring the fake death stays hidden. That being said, it's one thing to do a behind the scenes background check, another entirely to cheekily prod at the people you've done that to with that information. Folks who want to keep a low profile don't often care for that.
