Leslie saw our cat Pickle sprawled out on the couch and was somehow reminded of a meatball sub, and now we're trying to gather up all the ingredients to make actual meatball subs. We've got delicious cajun spaghetti sauce, but no actual meatballs or bread. Gotta scramble and grab up the ingredients before FFXIV Fanfest starts tomorrow, because I refuse to darken the doorstep of a Subway. Comment below with your favorite things to put on a meatball sub!

I like to add fresh spinach bc it immediately wilts in the sauce, and makes me feel slightly healthy π

Was always a fan of herbs and cheese bread, though having a crisp baguette straight from the bakery is just as good for these. Also, please donβt actually eat the catπ

Def recommend a hearty bread that can stand up to the sauce (storebought "fresh baked loaves" usually do the trick π) and small frozen meatballs are great. If you want to do handmade meatballs I strongly recommend having an andouille sausage minced and added in, or maybe in rounds alongside said meatball. P.s. Dakota's faces at Liz are the most adorable thing ever

Lots of cheese and crispy lettuce! But needs the ideal sauce/meatball ratio. Also, if meatballs are big, they should be cut in half to facilitate actual eating.
