The flash back is basically showing how Dragon Boy was abused to train his power. His body is like black panther's suit, if you have seen that movie. They were drowning him under the ice as a form of training, but when he started to pass out, the people watching were disappointed in him.

Show’s been planned to have a 2nd season but it will be a while considering S1 was in production for 4 years lol. Also wouldn’t worry too much about X’s power currently. Only thing to know is that he’s able to change reality with the snap of his fingers and that he’s overpowered as hell xD

At this point might as well just tell you. X can warp reality from 2D and 3D. The snap is the way he does it Every singular time in the show that the art style has changed it’s been because of him coincidentally snapping reality back and forth

There is a plan for season 2 which will also be 24 episodes. It was planned from the start that this show will be 48 episodes total with 2 seasons.

The snapping basically just changes the art style really nothing else you need to know about it. That’s how it’s been happening up to this point even if we didn’t see X do it.
