What? A Group Chat? Chapter 5: A Month Later

Inside a room. Jaune liked Weiss, he was the prettiest girl that he ever laid his eyes off (according to him), she was his snow angel, but right now...why does she look so plain in his mind?
He stared at the screen in front of him with shock, the woman that he saw in front of him is supposed to be Lucifer.
Unbelievable, even he has to admit that she's the most beautiful woman he ever laid his eyes off, her appearance was simply un-mortal, it's out of this world which is, indeed the case.
Right now, he couldn't help himself but admire her beauty.
But that doesn't mean she became his crush, if it was only the looks that made him fall for Weiss, he'd be the worst scum ever, he just admired her look.
And it wouldn't stop soon.

Echidna was more interested in Lucifer's ability rather than her appearance because it has zero merits in achieving her dream.

laying in my hospital bed. I continued watching Lucifer as she talked about things, mostly about EMIYA being a jackass.
Soon, Lucifer ended her live streaming test after a devil employee called her for a meeting.
Sheesh, it must suck to be in those meetings.
After Lucifer's live stream ended, we continued talking until EMIYA disconnected without saying goodbye or anything, not that I blame the guy probably on a mission assigned by Alaya.
And then next was Jaune saying that he had classes tomorrow so that's why he's going to sleep, he said goodbye naturally.
Now only me and Echidna are left in the group chat, however, none of us started a conversation, not that I don't want to but I feel like, she won't reply if I did she's probably checking the additional function of the group chat aside from the Livestream.
Welp, I too would do the same, by simply curiosity I decided to check the Gacha function of the group chat.
Turns out I have a free spin coupon for joining the group chat, without hesitation I decided to use my coupon and the Gacha machine started shaking and a glowing ball came out.

To be honest, when I used my free coupon, I wasn't expecting much but I'm not gonna lie that I'm somewhat disappointed by what I got.
Anyway, beggars can't be choosers.
I tapped yes.

"I….s-should I cry now or later?"
As soon as I said the sentence, a single tear fell from my eye, bad luck simply bad luck the universe is playing with me!
After that a single tree branch fell into my lap, seeing it makes me emotional damn it!
I lifted the tree branch from my lap and spoke softly. "What should I do with this? Throw it?"
I stared at my first ever item from the group chat Gacha and decided to keep it for memorial purposes.
Slowly I fell asleep from the hospital bed and went to the dreamlands.

Morning,
I could hear a lot of noises around me, as I regained my sight. I realized that I was in an unfamiliar room.
At first, I thought at first of how the heck did I arrive here? Then a second later I realized that I was in a surgery room!
"What?! Wh-why am I here?!" I shouted in desperation!
Suddenly my entire body feels numb. "Wha- what happened to me?!"
Nervousness consumed my heart, it was enough for me to panic! Then I saw a person right next to me, I wasn't sure what to do, then that person realized that I am now awake.
He sighs in relief, but I was confused by his reaction. Why did he react like that? And my questions were quickly answered.
"Thank goodness! We thought that we were too late! If we were a minute late those madmen would bisect you into pieces!"
"What?! What do you mean by bisecting me?!" I shouted in disbelief.
The man smiled wryly at me, as he replied. "Well kiddo, apparently they want to take a sample of you because not only you were completely cured of a 3rd stage cancer, you did it within a day! Those madmen thought that you are the key to curing cancers! How noble of them, if they weren't forceful about it!"
Hearing that my expression pales, I screw up, damn I was so naive thinking that something like that won't happen!
But I was damn wrong! And I was almost bisected because of it!
Are they really that desperate? Damn it!
I clenched my fist in disappointment and anger.
Then the man noticed my anger, and he sighs. "It's natural to feel angry about it, but kiddo you're seriously lucky that someone saw them taking you and reported them to the authorities or who knows what kind of things they would have done to your body!"
I couldn't help but agree with his statement, if no one saw them taking him, they would have already bisected him!
Seriously! It was downright terrifying! I swore to not fall for the same thing again!
Good thing I was asleep when they took me, if I wasn't I would have experienced trauma! That's for sure!
Then I realized something, I know the fact that I am not lucky, now how come I am now?
It's a bit strange for me to think about this now, but I have a feeling that something helped me aside from these people.
I quickly searched for my phone and luckily it was still in my pocket and without hesitation, I opened the group chat app.
The man beside me looked at me with a weird expression, but I was too busy to notice.
Then as I opened the group chat, I found the answer.
I smiled widely at what I saw on the screen in front of me.

I started laughing internally. I take what I said back yesterday! This is the best!
It was because of this branch that I was able to survive! Because of its luck properties!

After that incident, it's been an entire month. Nothing similar happened though that last month's incident was put on the news and those madmen were put on trial and they were sentenced to life in prison!
My mother was really worried about me when she heard the news, but somehow I managed to calm her down.
While I wasn't abducted anymore, it didn't stop doctors around the world from taking a blood sample from me, not that I mind at least it's better than being bisected alive!
During the month, I pretty much became a celebrity of the medical world, they called me the Miracle Child, it was an embarrassing title.
But there was a reason why they called me that, because my blood is the definition of a miracle itself, somehow there is still a bit of immunity serum in my blood, that's why it could cure an early stage cancer and most diseases.
However, that's not all. I also earned some money because of my blood, let's not talk about how much I earned the most important thing that I have money to spend
Also, I've started working out, which was impossible for me, but now it's not the best time to slack off. I'm doing this so I can prepare.
After saving up for 3 weeks, I've decided to buy something from the group shop, because let's be honest here working out doesn't do jack shit from a strong enemy. I would like to have something that protects me.
That's why I bought 'Wing Chun'. Now I know how to defend myself. It's nothing much, but I feel safer now.
And I was right about my decision to buy 'Wing Chun', probably one of the best decisions I have.
It was cool, I could smash rocks like they were plastics, now aside from my changes.
My group chat members and I are pretty much getting along at this point, even though we disagree on many things, we could put them aside.
Though, there are still members that don't get along even though it's already been a month.
They are EMIYA and Lucifer, they are still bickering, as much as we want to stop them, we already gave up a few weeks ago!
Anyway, we considered each other as friends despite the clear difference between us, the only member that I could proudly call best friend is Jaune Arc.
Mainly because we are the weakest in the group though, he doesn't believe that I was weak.
Until now, we have yet to receive any mission, not that I mind because I'm not ready yet, I'm still mentally preparing myself.
But the others, mainly Echidna, Lucifer, and surprisingly EMIYA wanted to have some adventures.
While the group chat was entertaining, it wasn't enough for them, not that I blame them.
Suddenly while I was checking the group chat, someone knocked on the door of my room and I said gently, "Come in."
The door opened and revealed my mother, she was holding a brown envelope, not sure what it was for.
"Dear, how are you?" She said with a smile.
I smiled back to my mother and replied. "I'm feeling well, so mother, what's that?"
"Oh, this? It's your school card this semester and I'd like to talk about this." My mother, Cecelia Robinson, said softly.
Just by hearing that from her, I already understood her intentions. She wanted me to come back to school. The reason I was exempted is because of my cancer. That's why the school allowed me to get homeschooled.
I actually have the choice to remain at school to study, but in the end, I didn't because I wanted to avoid seeing 'her' makes me feel sad, because of what she did.
Aware that it was a good excuse to avoid her, I took the chance and that was months ago.
I've already moved on, she's nothing to my life anymore, okay I won't lie that I may have some lingering feelings for her, but no if she ever asks for us to be together, I'd refuse because if she can break my trust for the first time, she'll no doubt do it for the second time.
I'll be the better man, I won't be a fool then I smiled at my mother and said. "All right, mother, I'll go back to school now, are you happy?"
After saying that, my mother blinked in surprise, then started to laugh a little. "Haha, of course dear I am! I was worried for nothing. I love you."
"I love my mother too." I smiled gently at my mother.
After that, we discussed the things I'm missing for school, and tomorrow is the day I'll come back.
I'm sure it would be a great start, I'm quite excited.

I had no problems reading it and also let the face slapping begin this situation with the girl breaking trust happened to me so I take great pleasure seeing them get thier comeuppance!
