yeah all the taxes are due April 15th so wshen people get paid end of March in the US they are facing due taxes for the previous year and they usually tighten their belts to afford the taxes they owe and it sometimes takes a few months for them to get back to fun spending

I keep up to date with the exit surveys but this month had a notable increase of cancellations without any added surveys so I was a little confused. There have been some good explanations in the comments though so I'm glad I asked :D

Tax season is a great reason, I'm still pretty new to Patreon so it hadn't occurred to me that that would have such a big effect! Plus being outside of the US, I don't experience it the same way myself :')

Oh shoot that's right, I didn't realize tax season was happening in the US! That explains a lot, I haven't been on Patreon long enough to experience the effect of that before :O

I doubt it's something on your end. I know a lot of people in my circles in the us owe taxes all of sudden and that's causing everyone to tighten our financial belts up.

I saw a ton of my own patreons leave. It's always at the end of a month. Alot of people have their year end taxes due in the US and you often see cancelations around tax time

I suspect it's just that the economy is rough for everyone, so belts are tightening. Everything you've posted seems in line with previous posts!
