There is a great video on youtube that explains the carousel and the the "Iine" animation in the intro reaIIy weII. Those two techniques were how animators made magic happen before computers and the Iike. The season 2 opening is one of the best of any anime. And season 2 has some of the best animation I've ever seen.

mob's personal stories outside of the Main Psychic Society plots are some of the strongest parts of this entire series. despite how ridiculous it is, this show's strengths lie in the grounded stories that mob is forced to take part of. he's just such an unconditionally good boy

If you look at the ending with the books, you'll notice their titles are named after the training montage (Bear Talking, etc.). Mob didn't actually fight a bear, as funny as that would've been

I totally relate to Shane. The slice of life and personal growth, especially in this season, made me fall in love with this series. The psychic stuff is cool, but man I love so many of these characters I've met so far (anime only watcher here). Everyone needs a Body Improvement Club in their lives.

You'll grow to love the new intro. I didn't like it at first either (only because the first one is so iconic), but now I sing along with it every time lol. I'd say the first intro is a 9 and the second is an 8.5.
