Overhyping is a 50/50 thing. i stayed away from demon slayer because of it. Watched it later and still don't really care for it. Attack on titan was over hyped in my initial opinion but then i watched it and now I am caught up on the manga because it was worth the hype to me. Either try something to see if its hype or not, don't just dismiss it because its popular. I was like that at one point too, now I just give things a try.

I didn't voted for this and wasn't looking forward to this reaction. Man it's really been a while. Haven't watch this anime since Middle School and once again in High School. But god after listening to that Opening again, i'm more hype to see this reaction and go watch it again for the 3rd time. Now that I think back on it, this was probably one of the first anime I cried about, not gonna say whether I cried because of happiness or sadness, but i'm sure most who seen it would know.

there is no problem with not liking a show and commenting that. The problem is when you comment that the show is "trash", "terrible", "another show should have been picked", or continue to comment under every episode those same comments. If you said it the first episode or two, sure. But if you keep coming to the series (week after week) then you are not expressing disliking something, you are trying to generate hate for something others like and or trying to troll people into responding because you know people are enjoying it. If you don't like something, say it, then stay away from it.

Fun fact I used to watch this on the Syfy channel's anime mondays and saturdays when it ran in America in the middle of the 2000's. I Remember only missing one episode episode 17. Every other episode I would sneak into living room around 11pm to watch it behind my parents back. Ah memories
