Fate/Zero #9 Reaction - Early Access!

There's a few different versions, so being accurate is almost impossible, so I don't believe I'm wrong about anything. most of my knowledge comes from books and plays I watched as a child. I also got the important stuff down, since the only three characters that matter to the story for fate are Grainne, Fionn and Diarmuid. While other fianna members helped, they weren't that important to Diarmuid's characterization in fate. I wasn't going detailed in my short synopsis

The powers of the heroes summon are from their respective legend. For example, Avalon is the place King Arthur goes to heal his wounds in battle. These special powers/attacks are called noble phantasm. Also, Heroes can be called in another class. Arthur is a great swordsman but also good in spears so she can be a lancer class. It just depends on the availability of the class or the artifacts used by the master.

I think Rais himself confessed to killing children and he supposedly practiced alchemy and black magic after leaving the army. At least now they know his real backstory, which makes it easier to hate him in the show even more

The dub doesn't have the excuse that the original has; the dub can literally just look up how they're said and say them, but they clearly just didn't bother

Fionn's legend is that his love spot made his king's fiance fall in love with him. Due to his honour, he both could not deny her advances and do anything with her and betray his king. So he runs away with her but refuses to do anything with her. Then Fionn (who is basically Irish King Arthur) sends his armies after Diarmuid to kill him and get his future wife back. Diarmuid makes a house and then defends the house from the entire fianna, until Fionn gives up and accepts the marriage. Later, on a quest to hunt a boar, Diarmuid is fatally wounded and Fionn COULD heal him, but chooses to instead taunt him and let him die slowly, calling him a traitor. Thus, it can be implied by this stage that Diarmuid regrets betraying his king at all and, if he had another chance, wouldn't run away with Grainne. It's basically King Arthur and Lancelot BEFORE King Arthur and Lancelot were even things. Arthurian myth stole a LOT from Celtic myth.

It hurts so much to hear my favourite heroes be called such weird things. What the fuck is Com-Hail.
