Pitou is more scared he's going to do something to Komugi. Later, she begins to see what Hisoka, Genthru and Illumi see in Gon, recognizing his incredible potential as a threat to the King. Pouf doesn't care about Gon, his tactics are just more indirect, so he is willing forgo direct confrontation for manipulation and mind games instead.

HxH is in my top 5, but this whole Gon scaring the shit out of the royal guards thing just feels like shonen bs to me. Just nothing about the situation feels believable especially compared to the other parts of the arc imo.
