I think there was like one episode in particular coming up where I could've done without the narrator explaining every damn thing. That was the only time the narration got to me. Otherwise I loved it.

Really love how the LOST reactions are turning out and how much Rick likes the show. I wonder what episode Calvin will join?

I don't think the problem is that there is narration at all, it's that there is too much of it. For me personally, I'm fine with like 90% of it, but there is that other 10% that was just a little too much, and felt if they cut back just a bit on certain parts, it would have made the whole arc flow a little better.

I feel you but i feel like this is the perfect arc to do that since these ants are basically the strongest nen users on the planet I feel like people miss the essential aspect of these ants literally being the strongest on the planet. Like Hisoka, Chrollo, Ging all of these hunters by themselves would get toyed with by the ants no questions asked. I feel like it’s necessary so that they don’t just walk in there and we start questioning a lot of stuff. But I can feel for people who are impatient who want to see the actions instead of the internal thoughts that the fighters have. Like imagine DBZ having this I could understand why people would hate it because the layout of the arcs don’t need explanation but with HXH it’s moreover if I don’t explain this we get plot holes like in Naruto.

I think it ruins some of the key parts going forward imo. Togashis writing style is above a lot of shounen, but at the same time it can be really a bit too much and the narration undercuts some of the dramatic moments in this arc for me a bit

I think it’s funny that they go even more in depth than HXH does with explanations 😂 they already go in depth so much but it’s so good. I still till this day don’t understand how people hate that narration
