I think it is her father and I think he will die because if they rescue him that will mean another Kryptonian on Earth WITH powers and that’s just too many kryptoniana if you ask me.

I think It could be a Phantom zone illusion, but I want it to be her father so they get time together to be a little happier. Then he might have to sacrifice himself so Kara can get out of the Zone and then it'll be sad again.

I don't think Zor-El is there and that's he's a coping mechanism her brain has constructed for her to resist the phantoms driving her mad. I wouldn't be surprised if Kara stumbles upon his body just as she's about to leave.

He's probably just her father affected with the aftermath of being trapped in the Phantom Zone for a while. Although, that obviously changed him, as it would anyone. It would be nice to see him revealed as something else as well.

It maybe her father, but he's not the same person. I think he is trying to keep her there for his own personal reasons.
Fingers crossed that he turns out to be Zod. It’s unlikely but I really hope that happens
