@rickie Goku is the dad of the big 3. That is generally how it is taken because dragonball was before the big 3. Some people call it the grandfather of shonen jump. Big 3 is just the ones who were super popular during the next era after dragonball.

Big 3 generally refers to the most popular weekly shounen jumó manga in the 2000s that’s why overall sales don’t exactly match up, the big 3 are aldo the mainstays of wsj in that decade and sort of the more consistent when it came to yearly sales and overseas popularity.
