That's so sad. As a German, I can't give them enough credit for sitting through 3 seasons of a subtitled show. I love these videos <3 and their theories and analysis.

Exactly, they discuss every single episode in great detail afterwards and pick up on SO much more than I did on my first viewing. How could anyone get the impression they don't care? "they seem to shun any suggestions to improve their viewing experience" - I have no idea what this means, except: "How dare they not watch this exactly the way I want them to?" As a character from the show might say: "Merkste selber, ne?"

Exactly, this is why I'm always hesitant in wanting people to react to Dark. It's a good show, but then once it is reacted to the fans criticize everything the reactors do: "Why aren't you paying every millisecond of your attention to this German show while still reacting to it?" Another reactor only got a few episodes in and was considering dropping the show due to these types of comments

The whole point of their reaction is for THEIR first time experience - whatever it is, not a checklist of everything YOU want from them.

The points you bring up nobody really cares about and are pedantic. If someone in the reaction has a hearing disability, they're going to watch the CC version. Live with it. Also...people shouldn't subscribe to a Patreon channel for one show. You're likely to be disappointed with your purchase.

"they seem to shun any suggestions to improve their viewing experience." What does this even mean? And as someone else already said, Eric said on Discord that Netflix kept changing the subtitles back to the wrong ones for some reason and they didn't notice.

Yeah, they've used CC instead of regular subs in other shows too. Maybe one of them doesn't hear well or something. I don't really care enough to find out / remember so I just keep it in mind when they seems lost during discussions.

Pretty frustrating how much this reaction series has been botched from the beginning…I literally subbed to Patreon for this and aside from just not paying attention to the show, they seem to shun any suggestions to improve their viewing experience. Shouldn’t really be an issue except for the fact that they struggle with this show more than anyone I’ve ever seen. Can’t really justify paying any more money for this.

For example Jonas' question afterwards isn't "What is behind the wall" but "What did they want behind the wall?"; the German comes with an implication of "to do" what did they want to do? the question the translator put in the dubbing book makes not so much sense as Elisabeth and her mysterious translator already told him "there is nothing behind the wall"

Sorry, couldn't catch up with the DARK reactions but in 2x01 I immediately noticed that the crew is watching with the WRONG subtitles. It is just a tad annoying during most scenes (mostly because the dubbing book is often slaughtering the meaning to achieve lip synchrocity) but during the scene with the French guys the CC subs are completely missing the French lines.
