Just to let you guys know Jiraiya doesn't want the novel, he wrote the novel. That's why Naruto has one because it hasn't been released yet. If you remember from Part 1 Jiraiya goes around doing "research" and writes novels and he did tell naruto he wrote the Make Out series.

Apart from being pretty good shows, one of my favourite things about shows like this, Doom Patrol or Star Girl is that they aren't connected to other shows which i don't have any interest of watching, less pressure imo.

I agree, it is insane to pick up an anime show with 500+ episodes and only do one per week. At this point, they should stop.
