Animations that are episodic or long form and for television or new media release are okay to work on for actors, but animated films that are for theatrical release are not. They specify the difference in their "NOTICE TO SAG-AFTRA MEMBERS REGARDING NON-STRUCK WORK" Bulletin. All content is only eligible to be struck if it is produced under a SAG-AFTRA agreement. Anything that might be otherwise struck, such as an animated film for theatrical release, is not struck if there is no SAG-AFTRA agreement in place.

it is not part of SAG and voice action has nothing to do with the production of a cartoon series or Animation the only exception is were Animation and Live Action are mixed in

I just listened to a podcast how they said Animation is not under SAG were 1 director/writer and another writer/journalist both said and described how Animation does not fall under SAG

It is part of SAG however voice acting is an exception to the strike. There's a few VA jobs like Full length films, ADR work, Trailers, Narration for feature films. Basically everything else related to voice acting is permitted. I would very much question why they are permitting people to continue working on these if the content is struck.

You guys should watch Lazarus when that anime comes out, it’s made by the creators of Cowboy Bebop and John Wick, animation looks amazing in the trailer & though the trailer lacked much info about the show, the creators of it & the animation alone sold me

Jacob Lowe

It does, voice actors can still be SAG members. What you have to find out is if a shows animation falls under struck content produced by the AMPTP

I hope you guys know Animation does not fall under SAG
