I'm right with you there, let's try to keep it simple, let's use actual words instead phonetic spellings. But "ray" as a word is pronounced differently from how the "Rei" in Reiner is pronounced, sorry but it just is. So if you wanna use a word to help explain how Reiner is pronounced, Ray-ner is not gonna work . Rye-Ner or, as you suggested yourself, Righ-Ner are easy and self-explanatory ways to explain it. I wish I could explain what I mean without coming off as too argumentative, so, sorry in case that I failed. 😅

Not trying to argue with you or anything but i think your missing the point here. Phonetic pronunciation can be googled by anyone, but that doesnt take into account how things are read and processed by people in different regions or with different accents. Example english is 3-4 (romaji) letters per syllable, whereas japanese as spoken in AoT, is usually 2-3. It gets complicated explaining things like that, but the point of my op was to keep things simple... gg

According to https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/ray it's pronounced "rei" phonetically in both the US and UK. Where as "rye" is pronounced "rai" (US and UK) phonetically, which works for properly pronouncing Reiner.

Bear-tolt. Rye-nuh. Their names are German and those are the right pronunciations (my dad is full German and he confirmed) It's also Sasha BRAUS, not Blouse. Japanese R and L sounds always get mixed up in subs.

What's great about this anime is that you can finish it then go back and essentially get a different experience from it because now the words and facial reactions and little nuisances all mean something different compared to the 1st time. The creator of this manga/anime is a genius for this and it only gets better

I just wanna confirm that, yes half of Bertholdt's colossal titan is on top of the wall and that's why it looks like he's way taller than the wall (he isn't fully transformed, only about half of his body). Also he looks like a skull at that point because he used up all of his energy for that steam, which is taking a toll on his body, and he can't keep up his form. I hope this makes sense.

It would be awesome to watch. But I also think that even though Annie might be superior in combat style, Mikasa is simply too strong as she could probably break Annie's bones if she gets her wrist or ankle. Same way how Mikasa broke the handle on that knife when she was little, and how Tanjiro broke Genya's wrist after final selection.

One important thing to have in mind, this whole situation is happening 2 days after eren and annie fought in the capital. Eren, Mikassa, Armin and Jean were the only rookies taking part in the operation to capture annie in the capital. So at this point Reiner, Benjamin (or whatever his name is) and the others, still have no idea that annie has been captured. In fact they don't even know that anyone suspects Annie.

Bertholdt as the Colossal did the same thing against Eren back in S1 with the steam venting when he appeared at the wall back during the Trost arc. Also I love the fight between Reiner and Eren after they have the one sided punch fest, it just becomes an MMA grab and grapple fight that every small movement keeps you on the edge of your seat. Also both of your reactions to the cliffhanger were hilarious and expected, imagine watching this weekly when it launched and that being it til next week. Any higher pitch of a scream and only dogs will be able to hear it lol

You'd be surprised by the numerous moments or "looks" between Reiner and Bertholdt that went unnoticed the first time. This show is definitely worth watching twice just for the incredible foreshadowing even in later episodes and seasons.
