Torunagas son was the 2nd for Fujis husband during the seppuku so thats why he felt so strongly when he spoke to fuji about standing up to Ishido.

Yabushige's loincloth brought a tear to my eye, such a powerful reveal. All jokes aside this is such a great episode and really conveys one of the ongoing themes of loyalty in the most consistent way. Also Nagakado's death at the end for me isn't sad because of who it is, at this point his death was expected with all the really dumb shit he's done behind his fathers back, but it's sad because of how pointless and I hate to say it, pathetic it is. You feel for what Toranaga is about to go through mentally losing his son in this manner.

This is easily a top 10 for many people. I wish I watched the original series when it was on. Yup, I'm ancient. It's easy to say now that Toranaga had been planning an endgame even before we saw episode 1. The man is a strategic genius!
