One Piece/Posting Update!
🕑 Added 2024-03-26 14:47:49 +0000 UTCWe're having some major issues with Patreon uploading and processing for the last week or so. Please bear with us as we try and get these OP reactions up asap! Considering switching off of Patreon Video because of this. Has anyone experienced other creators using unlisted YouTube links? And if so, does that work well for them/you as a user?

I've seen people do the unlisted thing and some use vimeo. I prefer the unlisted videos, though, Youtube is just more comfortable to watch.

Issue primarily being so far ahead, the YTs i see do this are one day or a week early so link sharing is mostly worthless, but the patreon is ONLY that far ahead so a tough situation to decide

To my experience, Unlisted videos are also better for your channel if you premiere them later. Like the unlisted version becomes the public version.

Have you tried contacting Patreon support because of this issue? Maybe it's just temporary. As for One Piece reaction videos on youtube, every one creator I've watched years ago got copyright striked from Toei at some point so I guess it's inevitable because the policies are still the same or even more strict now. I don't know if videos marked as unlisted can escape the copyright strike. Just try to not get all of your videos lost if this worst case scenario ever happens...

Definitely do Unlisted YT videos, post on Vimeo with a link provided, or some do Google Docs also.

I think the only big issue is what Mike Drop stated above about link sharing. Which might diminish the value of our Patreon a bit, but hopefully most people will see that support here = more content!

I follow other creator on patreon that uses yt unlisted, it works fine.

Heisuten YT did the unlisted videos for a while I think until he switched to Vimeo. But the subscription/payment as member works through YT. This is finicky though since you have to select s video link from a long list on Discord. At least that's what he was doing. Not sure about better ways.

Yes we like that even more than Patreon Video because on youtube unlisted we can choose the quality we want.

Unlisted YT is probably my favourite method but I rarely see reactors doing it that way. Not sure if there's a reason for that or not. Vimeo works otherwise 👍

The other content creators that I follow on here upload to streamable or one of those. How things get figured out 😎 a YouTube channel that I follow on Patreon called "Sorta Stupid" they've used streamable and Vimeo in the past.

id imagine if you did unlisted youtube links other people could post that somewhere else without your knowledge. but either way im sure theres other places you can post the videos.

I know from other reactors that they usually upload to Vimeo and link the video to Patreon, it happens quite often actually, I would say half of all of their videos are uploaded to Vimeo. It is quite easy to avoid Patreon problems; videos usually get uploaded quickly.

SMF (Jami UwU) she's uploading it straight to patreon like you guys now but in the past she's used vimeo, google drive, streamable, mega, daily motion and discord. Poor girl went thru alot. Hope this helps

Youtube unlisted works. Also Vimeo. And also Sync.com or other such file upload sites that provide video file playback

Ladies! I'm not anyone else's Patreon but some time ago yes and of course, they used unlisted YouTube videos for their full reactions and their regular channels for the edited versions. I didn't see there was any problem with that way.

The other reactors I watch that switched off Patreon video mostly just provide a link and password to a Vimeo video.

For your editted videos, youtube would be perfect as it gives you watch time before they go public... though if you have issues with copyright, youtube will flag your videos making historical content on patreon unwatchable. Other reactors seem to use vimeo when having issues like this (happens often)

If you have enough buffer between editing & posting to Patreon (in case yt's copyright system complains), then YouTube unlisted works great, otherwise Vimeo

It could just be that Patreon needs to update/maintain their servers, or they're experiencing abnormally high traffic. If this is the case, then Patreon should get this fixed soon as it will be a problem for other creators too. I'm not currently following anyone else right now, so I can't verify.

I think using unlisted YouTube videos is a much better option than Patreon videos. ☺️ I don’t think Patreon really thought about making their videos efficient to watch because if they don’t load correctly or you have a poor internet connection you end up having low resolution videos which is NOT your fault as a creator.

Yeah, I would say that unlisted YouTube videos would work but also Vimeo. I'm subscribed to a couple of other Patreons who use these methods and they work well

I believe the channels Movies With Mary and Sean Tank Top use unlisted YouTube links for their videos. I’ve never had trouble watching those so you guys might give it a shot. Either way I’ll watch and enjoy the OP reactions. Thanks!

Other Patreon channel sometimes upload to Patreon using either a YouTube link or Vimeo link.
