I don't remember the exact wording, but remember when that guy in the green cloak stopped Smoker from chasing Luffy in Logue Town? And he said something like "Fate has other plans for this kid, it's not his fate to be stopped here by you", or something like that? It ties in nicely with that luck thing they keep bringing up xD

It's amazing how such ridicules looking characters can be so awesome! 2 seconds of screen time and slight smirk is all Mihawk needs to make everyone go wild. When they are reading the book 'I know, the golden city must have fallen into the sea' is written in the tone of a person making a lazy excuse. The king's response is written in the tone of a person who can't be bothered with the other persons lies as if it is a common occurrence.

in case you're still wondering, bug-hunting and bug-catching is a very popular hobby among young children in Japan, especially young boys. Luffy and Usopp being so fond of bugs would be very relatable to children watching! And like Luffy was saying Atlas and Hercules beetles are especially prized among bug hunters. Lots of anime and games and stuff include references to bug catching because of its popularity. Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokemon, was inspired by his own childhood of bug catching!

Wrong. July 22nd is officially One Piece day. While it is true that some areas of Japan did in fact receive the magazine issue for that week on July 19th, it wasn't until July 22nd when the magazine was officially out to all of Japan and is recognized as the official date for the first chapter of One Piece.
