So, for the most part, Long Ring Long Land arc is NOT filler. There are a few filler episodes within the arc, but the bulk of it is VERY canon. Episodes 207-212 are canon, 213-216 are filler, 217-219 are canon, 220-226 are filler (with the last third of 226 being canon, really better to just watch the second half of the ep 226), and 227 & 228 are canon. Long Ring Long Land, should NOT be skipped. Remember people, we're watching these ladies' first time reaction to this, so let them come up with their own opinions. And stop asking them to skip canon sections of the story lol

If you’re watching the LRLL Arc, it’s better to include eps 208 and 219. Even though they’re filler, skipping them might make the story feel a bit disjointed since they help maintain the flow of the arc. And Ep208 in particular, affects the transitions between episodes, while Ep219 contributes additional context that can enhance the overall experience. I don’t mind skipping them personally, but I’d recommend including them to keep the experience more coherent.

So this is what u should do Hayley and KIss. continue watching until u get to 208. skip 208--225. bad fillers. nothing of interest. Watch 226 (3/4 of the way near the end is cannon) . because 226 upward is main storyline continue. And 207 is a must watch. Not a filler.

Yes somewhere near the end of 226 have a small continuation to the main storyline. and a surprise. A must see. And also must watch 207. it is not filler.

G-8 arc is good, nothing against seeing that, but I'm one of the few who prefer the "LRLL" arc right after. Not just for canon reasons; it's fun and worth something to many. I like seeing people watch all of the anime version despite Toei fluffing it out, as to make your own opinions. But others are good at asking for all of it or at least the filler parts to be skipped, which is an understandable shame, but their impatience for a following saga shouldn't rob reactors' first experience.

I get it though, Long Ring Long Land is one of my least favorites too, but it is Canon, and a particularly “foxy” character does make a lot of random appearances when you least expect it so it’s good lore to know. I wonder if they’ll ever watch any of the movies? I still need to find some of the other lesser available movies to watch

Man, I've been noticing a lot of differences between the old fan subs and the "official" subs and the old fan subs are just better lol. The Straw Hats escaping because they think the Skypieans and Shandians are angry at them (and Robin not correcting them) is just hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

There are a lot of entertaining parts in the upcoming filler. Though I understand if there are people who want to skip it because the main story is so good too.

These arc wrap-up episodes are always such gems <3 And we're back to the complete crew cruising the sea getting ready for another adventure! These episodes with daily life on the ship and all the interactions between the straw hats are gems too. In fact whole of One Piece is one big gem, now that I think of it XD

I feel I should offer clarification. I dont like the arc following G8, that is my reason for skipping. I dont feel that it contributes to the plot in any significant way. I edited my prior comment to update that. It appears I misspoke when I said it is not canon. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers of the other patreons by sharing that.

The arc after G8 is canon(207-219) and should not be skipped. It’s part of the experience. Episodes 220-228 are filler, but they should watch 226(19:16), 227 & 228.

This upcoming filler arc is great, I super recommend it to first time watchers, so I am glad you two chose to watch it! That said, the immediate next arc is one of the worst in my opinion. After 206, I would recommend skipping to 226 at about 19:40 to continue into the next arc. I love getting to see your discussions about what you've seen so far. You guys are the best!
