I'll say it too, watch the G8 arc. It encapsulates One Piece so well and it adds a little something to the story that is SO good. Go for it, it's such a fun little ride that no one ever forgets.

I would counter and ask others to also stop asking them to watch fillers. They are irrelevant and only delay from getting to the great story arcs written by Oda. The show is already 1000 + episodes. Think they have enough material to watch already. 🙄

G8 is great, I wouldn't skip it at all, i think One Piece could have a lot more episodes, can't see the point in skipping it. Enjoy the ride.

On the G8 debate, honestly I don't mind one way or the other. It's only 11 episodes, so barely 2 weeks of videos. It's not canon though, so doesn't really matter if they skip.

I feel like the best compromise for the G8 debate is to watch it and use the "One Pace" versions of the episodes for the longer arcs once we get to pacing hell (iykyk)

When I first watched G8 I didn't even know it was filler. It's a universal experience and "arc" you need to watch. I believe every one piece fan has watched it. You get more cute moments with the crew and really get to spend time with the crew before shit goes down in the next arc.

i almost never comment but I just want to add my voice enthusiastically to the "Please watch the G-8 arc" chorus. I'm the type of person to ALWAYS skip filler, but this is maybe the one instance in anime history where it really really really should not be skipped.

So you’re starting to get to the end of this arc and all I can say is there is some filler coming up but it’s S class filler. And the arc after is a mix of filler and cannon but it’s a very funny stretch after these more emotional arcs.
