Fun fact about Alabasta, Chaka the tall black haired Guardian, has the Dog-Dog fruit Model Jackal. So even some dog relative species can be included. Here we see the Girraffe falling under the Ox-Ox fruit because of similar structure and features to bulls or other ox like mammals.

One of my favorite details in the whole arc, is that Luffy,Zoro and Sanji are able to see Cp9's Shave, it not brought up ever but Zoro and Sanji are just evading of blocking right after their oponents banish, and Luffy hits Blueno in the middle of it.

Being cool is so important to Kaku because it's one of his insecurities. If you remember when Luffy first met him, Luffy said he talked like an old man. Kaku is like that guy that's raised by his grandparents and says things like "whippersnapper". He seen as "square" which is why he is trying to convince himself that he's cool with being a giraffe LOL
