Yeah, I started to notice a pacing issue recently. but tbf, I'm watching One Piece for fourth time so 😂

It's not just to make us hate him, Oda is pulling references from 60's horror movies. the shower scene especially is the classic one you see of a black and white film where a woman gets murdered in the shower, but we can't very well kill off Nami, so she ends up the Zombie bride instead

To be fair it was ages ago XD Thriller bark was the first time I noticed some shifts in the pacing though (and also where I started to notice and get annoyed by overly long recaps). Oh well, nothing we can do about that. And as a plus I finally got some motivation to rewatch old episodes after what has to be at least 10 years or more.

yeah it was nowehere near, but later on... Do you think we might persuade them to watch ONEPACE then? because I remember that one characters FLASHBACKS taking half of the whole saga was pretty annoying.... you know what I'm talking about and that's just one example later on in the story

Hello, I wanted to ask about one thing... is 6 episodes per week enough? it's gonna take too many years to finish all of one piece... I actually stopped watching OP around 900 because it's so much more fun for me to watch it with someone else(you), but when I count the time, I'm affraid I'm gonna be dead before we finish :D couldn't we do at least the 3 episodes per video a normal thing?

Dude xD The anime was no where near "getting closer to catching up with the manga" at that point and ep 351 was animated from an entire chapter just like most of the episodes from that time. But yeah, after another few hundred episodes the pacing slows down quite significantly because the anime got really close to the manga and it's stood like that since.
