Btw since you guys were wondering about Robin's reaction to Luffy knowing Shanks; her reaction is more about being shocked because the Four Emperors are THAT strong/well known. As Garp mentioned it takes the Warlords and the Marines together to keep them at bay and to keep the peace.

Was I tripping? When they show the 3 emperors, toward the end of zoom out on Garp, was that the fourth silhouette at the bottom? Thought I saw an eye and mouth of a fourth face get revealed at the very end before the scene cuts.

I think most people think Garp is abusive to Luffy given that lore drop of how Luffy grew up. But given what Garp knows of the world and how dangerous the world is I think he did the most responsible thing he could. Garp prepared Luffy for the dangers of the world. While people like Ussop would normally die immediately after leaving the east blue.

I love that you all keep tabs and really care about this show's story. The general outline for One Piece is that there is a massive lore dump in between arcs. So get ready. Also, the world of One Piece is going to get a lot bigger in the coming arcs.

A lot people don't get into One piece because it's a 1000+ episodes but I thing it's around here that the huge episode count very feels worth it. 300 episodes into this grand adventure and still so much more to go. just makes me feel giddy.

I personally liked how they portrayed Garp in the live action, but I guess for everybody watching the anime afterwards it is not good to ruin this amazing reveal. Although the Garp reveal is kinda ruined after the live action, I guess this episode is still amazing and still has enough to reveal.

I think a decent chunk of fans weren't too happy with the Garp reveal happening so early in the live action since this reveal is so fun. But, considering they only had 8 episodes and that they went in the direction of making Koby more of a main character, revealing Garp's connection to Luffy is a good hook for their adaption. Although, I'm not a fan of how Garp was handled in the LA at all 😭 they gave him such a weird vibe compared to the anime/manga.
