My theory is that opm is simply the only anime on the list people have watched, that’s why they voted for it. It’s arguably the worst one on the list I would have been fine with mob psycho as well but opm is so not it lol

I think it's because people are trying to get them to react to a bunch of good anime back to back, I voted Haikyuu but I also know that it's 5 seasons and movies compared to 1-2 seasons for the others. We'll see them watch it eventually, but with One Piece already being in the schedule I can't blame people trying to keep short animes in the rotation

You guys show watch, Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song. It's never going to win any poll because it's not very popular but it's a great show. And I feel like I never see anyone react to it. It probably wouldn't do that well on the channel cuz people don't watch reactions to stuff they haven't seen themselves but if I could have my cake and eat it too, everyone should go watch it and then watch you two react to it.

Season 2 was good story, ONE is a great story teller. We were just spoiled with the art from Mad House for the first season. Plus season 2 is a lot of buildup for season 3 this year. I really enjoyed the second season a lot though! The world that ONE created is badass and I love Saitama’s humor 😄 I can’t wait for the third season! It’s finally officially announced

No, it is definitely a good anime, interesting concept, likeable and cool characters, really great action. It made huge waves when it first started. It's just that unfortunately we're looking at it in comparison to, say, Haikyuu! which is phenomenal, and it gets better and better. In terms of reactions, I always thought OPM was something theyd react to down the line, when all the other stuff was out of the way

Really, Haikyuu should replace Frieren, wholesome feel-good anime for wholesome feel-good anime. I’m sad that it looks like One Punch Man will win. Not there in terms of comedy and chaos, but it is only 12 eps, I recommend Trigun Stampede. Both of you have shown to appreciate both narrative and cinematography, so I think you’d really enjoy Trigun!

Do Mob psycho 1st because it just makes sense. Mainly because Mob is complete so you can see the full story. Its compact, wastes no time at all, and is a masterpiece animation with some really really great characters. I dont mind haikuu because at least its a bit different from shounen after shounen. 5 of these choices are shounen. Can a brother get some slice of life like Dragon maid, azumanga daioh, Hōzuki no Reitetsu.. or some isekai (konosuba hint hint, Overlord, youjo Senki, dr stone, re:zero, Gate?). Hell if we are doing shounen why not do the truely great 1st like hunter x hunter , bleach up to the end of soul society, yu yu hakusho, gintama! Now if they watched great teacher onizuka then i think i would lose my mind.

There are a few strong female side characters (they appear/ shine moreso in S2 onwards though). I wouldn't worry too much about the 'sporty' part though, it's a character-driven show first and foremost, wholesome and hype as hell, the sport is just a medium (though tons of care is put into it obviously). I think the way this goes, people watch opm but the real hidden gem(back when it was released and not really that hyped) was mob psycho. it still is that good. Only Frieren gave me similar cozy vibes like mob psycho did and I think mob is the best choice out of those 3 for you to react.

Haikyu! I went through a time from 2007-2017 where I was burned out on anime. I was tired of the endless Moe Blob shows, then we got flooded with Isekai shows. I mostly just stuck to reading manga, watching j-dramas, and cinema. Periodically an anime might pique my interest and I'd watch it like One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 (because I read the webcomic and the mangas), but through it all I still missed feeling that enthusiasm about anime and the subculture, the way I did when I first got into it. One day while I was at FanimeCon 2014, a local convention, I saw a bunch of people in Volleyball uniforms and found out they were cosplaying Haikyu characters. I kinda wrote it off, thinking it was fan-fiction fodder, like Free. I figured it would never touch the upper echelon of sports anime/manga like Slam Dunk, Ping Pong, Touch, Hajime No Ippo, and Ashita No Joe. And I more or less forgot about it until 2017 or so. One night, I came back from a party around 3am, and just threw on Netflix, and decided to watch the first anime that showed up. It just happened to be Haikyu. Next thing I know I was 10 episodes in and the sun was coming up, but I couldn't be bothered. I HAD to watch more. I didn't know shit about volleyball, but I suddenly cared. Haikyuu revitalized my interest in anime. I loved all the characters, even the antagonists, and just became obsessed with the show. But I needed to find out why. So I started watching reactors for Haikyu and found out it's affectionately called Hypekyu. Even reactors who are Volleyball Olympians (Sarah Pavan) and Highschool Volleyball Coaches (Coach Donny), have loved the show, and commented on the realism and the accuracy, from internal player headspace, coach headspace, team interpersonal dynamics, volleyball strategy, and the struggles of the sport. It wasn't some superpowered anime masquerading as a sports show. It was legit. And that could be why it spoke to me.

Mob psycho 100 unseat One Piece on sentimental value? I disagree. There's certain feelings that hit like a ton of bricks because we look back on years past. NIN's "Hurt" vs Johnny Cash's "Hurt". Cash's cover has the weight and gravitas of more years behind it. One Piece has 25 years to look back on.

Haikyuu is a great fun Sports show with lovable characters that can make someone who usually does not care at all for sports invested in a tense game of Volleyball. I came to love the sport because of it, myself. Love the action, and I think you would enjoy its pace. OPM is great fun, and although the second season is considered a step down from the amazing first one, the biggest problem is that it stops in the middle of the story. I cannot in good conscience recommend it as of right now, because the second season doesn't at all end at a satisfying conclusion. I personally loved only the first season of Mob Psycho, although that is neither here nor there. It is a great fun show, with amazing visuals, good soundtrack and absolutely lovable characters. No complaints there. Same author as OPM, though they are not that similar to each other. It is more introspective, I think, than the other two. Great options overall, though, as I said, OPM might be best to run only the first season of, if you watch it. But that's just my opinion.

I know and understand, full well, that in the end the winner will be chosen, and that's good. But I'd like to make an argument in favour of "Haikyuu!" It's one of the BEST sports anime ever made (volleyball) and you dont need to know anything about volleyball to absolutely fall in love with it (you learn as you go). It's fast paced, upbeat, heartwarming, uplifting, and the characters are absolutely amazing - you get invested fast and you're gripped, and drawn in from minute 1. Let's not forget the comedy, wow are there laugh out loud moments in this! The main character is so great, sympathetic, and you empathize with him very quickly The matches are nothing less than exhilarating! Each match is like being at the finals of your favourite sports team, edge of your seat, intense, push-to-the-limit, do all you can to win drive. You're really, really get SO into it! Im surprised One Punch Man is winning, but I get it, it's fighting, comedy, superheroes and it's cool, so it's an adequate replacement for Dandadan. In the end I dont know if anyone'll read this, but again, Im not exaggerating when I say "Haikyuu!" is one of the BEST sports animes in all of anime. And, of course, a reaction to it will likely be one of the most fun reactions theyve ever done, not to mention of how great it does on YT. Thanks
