Fun bit: the supernovas (as the 11 pirates are also called) were created by Oda pretty much last minute because Sabaody didn't pop enough for him. So all these awesome and cool characters really came out of nowhere.

[Not a spoiler] To clarify the slightest of misunderstandings: The Celestial Dragons (Tenryuubito) are biologically no different from ordinary humans, and they DO in fact breathe oxygen. And as Kiss had perfectly summed up; the reason they were wearing those bubble helmets is because they believe themselves to be descended from literal gods, and thus *believe* they are gods themselves. Because of this, they absolutely REFUSE (on standing principle) to breathe "the same air as the lowly humans", as they feel it would soil the majesty of their divine birthright.

It's getting hyped up and its only going to get more intense! There's a lot of excitement in the air and you know with excitement there is a lot of emotions that come along with it! Be prepared because it's going to be a DOOZY of a rollercoaster! Also, you girls have predicted a few things but I'm not going to tell you what! Let's just say you are spot on in some of your assessments and it's so warming to see you both so invested in the story! Oda is very good at tying things together! It'll be one of those AHA! moments later! That's what makes One Piece in my opinion one of the best if not the best anime of all time!

honestly sabaody does an amazing job intoducing a lot of new characters and does a lot of world building, thats why i love it so much. Lately i have checked a bunch of other "reactors" especially for One Piece and it made me appreciate both of u even more. You guys do such a great job following the story, finding clues and understand the deeper stuff aswell. Its a nice balance between you thinking about stuff and just enjoying the fun part :)

But at the same time Oda has later said, he regrets this, since he didn't have time to create backstories for everyone. But as you will see in next 800 episodes, Oda is GOAT. Also fun fact (for me at least) the word archipelago literally means "main sea" in Greek and it was first used to refer to the Aegean sea, which is a sea densely packed with islands. Over time the word evolved to mean any chain or group of islands.

I love this arc so much. It's a massive flex by Oda of his worldbuilding skills, from the design of Sabaody to the huge expansion in colorful characters. Fun fact, the 100M+ pirates introduced here were last-minute additions to the cast; Oda felt the arc lacked interesting characters, so he came up with their designs, names, and everything else in less than a week.
