I don't drink alcohol - I only drank a glass 3 times in my entire life. All three times on events of a friend, whom I've known since we were 4 years old (so for about 30 years). Twice on his birthday and the third time at his marriage in 2017. For his marriage I had bought a bottle of sake. They had over 300 guests, yet he took time to meet up with our friendgroup of about 7 people, where I took out the bottle and told them, that there was an old Japanese tradition, that if you share a cup of sake with someone, you become brothers - yes I stole it from this scene from One Piece - and because I'm half Japanese, they believed me that it was cultural thing. Last year that friend finally watched One Piece and sent me a picture of that scene together with a picture we took from when we drank the sake and he got all emotional.

If you go back to the previous episode where the sake exchange scene was you can see the shadow of the 3rd Sake cup, that scene was masterfully manipulated, no one even questioned the shadow or that we didn't see the entirety of the scene.

Friendly reminder that when Luffy first met Coby, in like the first 5 minutes of knowing him, Luffy said something along the lines of "Man, you're a coward and a crybaby! I hate people like you hahahaha" and laughed. It's cute to see Luffy take after his brother :D
