One of my favourite parts of this “ending” is it essentially marks roughly ten years from the first episode and the kids that grew up watching it from the beginning were becoming young adults. The transition from this style of one piece to the updated animation also signified a change in the audience as well. We kids who grew up dreaming alongside Luffy were now his age and ready to start their own adventures.

I love that One Piece really absolutely refuses to explain anything of its world until the absolute last moment that it's actually necessary, and even then Oda gives you *just* enough to explain the unexplained things while leaving plenty of mystery for the rest of the story xD

I always love seeing everyone believing in Luffy and wanting to support him, especially since he's always believed in them and supported them 🥹🥹🥹 Everyone's working to make themselves better for themselves, but especially for Luffy and it's just so wholesome ❤️❤️❤️ Up until this point, haki has been such a mysterious power. Oda always showed us bits and pieces of this enigmatic ability, but he's never spelled it out this blatantly to us before. May I point out that in Arabasta, episode 119, when Zoro fought Mister 1 and almost lost, he was using Haki since he was so close to dying. He dodged all the boulders (and wasn't just lucky) + felt the presence of his sword under one of the rocks. Also his ability to cut him could possibly be a sign of armament haki at that time.

I’m curious, has it been suggested to them already to watch the Fan letter after finishing the following arc? Cause if not I think they’d really enjoy it as a side piece. They’d also get a great view of how far the animation goes as well

I thought when you said break it would be a full break from everything but we're still getting content so thanks in advance. Glad to see you stuck around with the series as long as you have despite hesitating during the live action watch. It's quite the journey but all one piece fans know that 1100+ episodes/chapters simply is NOT enough. It's a journey for us and our straw hats. Also crazy to think that when you two finally catch up. One Piece will still probably be going strong.
