Two crowns and two territories. Likely getting rid of Harald will cut through trouble that eventually is likely to happen between two heirs. It’s horrible and it would still be horrible if Harald was a terrible person. So I don’t want to talk it up like it’s a necessity death but it has logistics. Now it’s interesting in this episode we see Thorfinn finally in a new light off the bat and a new Canute as well in a much different light. He’s the same character with the same goal obviously but it’s hard to grasp how much he took the reins when committing to changing the world. We’ll see.
