I think you got distracted and miss the explanation. Reigen told Mob he can run away when things get too tough, and leave it to the adults. Mob did just that. He gave his power to Reigen (subconsciously) and let him deal with the situation. Reigen had Mob's power at 1000% temporarily that's why he could withstand stuff that Mob couldn't before.
