Einar losing his family and again and being sold off yet still believing that someone got him this far for a reason is telling. His family was absolutely wonderful. He doesn't care to hear what Thorfinn’s been through and right now I think that's most helpful for Thorfinn.

The moment Einar thought about killing a person (Einar just gave in to the horror of being a murderer), he stopped choking Thorfinn. Cause Einar asked Thorfinn if he killed people. Thus meaning that Einar didn't kill any person/s in his past.
