Basic dungeon grids (Free giveaway for CG Patrons)
🕑 Added 2019-07-19 13:57:43 +0000 UTCThe new Dynamic Dungeons Editor and Player v3 just came out with some built in default dungeon floors optimised for a 40" screen (35x20 squares). Nothing special, just nice and simple play mats as static images, with basic stone tiles in various colors.
So, hereby I share the default image and video content of the software, including two seamless looping animated dungeons mats and two dark foggy UHD versions (43x24 squares). These UHD versions are not included in the software, but you can of course use them if you download and drop to the resources/user folder.
These videos doesn't include sound to avoid repetitions, but this one hour dark dungeon ambience I made last year might helps to get your players more immersed into the game.
I think these basic mats are very useful when you need to quickly set up a grid for an encounter and let your players imagine the scene or to use 3d printed or crafted walls on the TV.

The Dynamic Dungeons Player will play the videos smoothly with no significant stops on looping.

Yes I’m working on an animated token pack. Gifs are supported now, but the loading is really slow, there is a way to convert gifs to .animation which is much more fast. I’ll share the converter soon.

First of all - thanks, these are awesome. Crazy thought - is there a simple way for you to isolate moving bushes and trees as .gifs? Would be an amazing way to use the new player to breathe life into random static backgrounds.

Yes, the maximum supported resolution is 4096x4096px, so higher-res images should be resized before using them in DD Editor and Player.

Is there a size limit for static images? I have a map pack I bought for a campaign with some large, detailed maps, but when I've tested setting one as a tile, it won't load in the manager or player (the image is 5526x7500, 13.2MB)

Question: What is the intended way of sending a project you made on one computer en opening it on another? Both have V3 installed but I just get 5 random empty squares as a project. All the file and folder names are the same. What am I doing wrong here? Spent a LOT of time on a dungeon and I need it to work tommorow : |
I am having a similar problem, but only with the editor (it dos not start it only gives my a black screen). I cant seem to find any log files or log dir in the DD folder. to try and fix the thumbnails I have downgraded my ms C++ redistributable 86 to ver 2015. that dinten do anything, then I removed the newer version of the redistbutable and that caused the black screen. I have now installed the neweste version of the redistributable (2015-2019 from MS) but it still dont work

I put a plexiglass sheet over the top of mine. You can get them cut at your local hardware store to fit.
So, I just downloaded it and used it one time. Now, when I open the editor all I get is a black screen.

I use a LCD monitor for my games. I am too scared to use wet erase markers on it haha. Has anyone had success with it?
