🕑 Added 2018-09-01 17:20:34 +0000 UTC Although it might sound a bit pretentious, it’s no exaggeration.Over 25 years ago, my teacher asked me at my high school entry exam what I want to do for a living. I said I wanted to become a boardgame designer. Then 10 years later, I suddenly noticed I became a lawyer. Over the past 10 years, I prepared legal documents and represented my clients in various lawsuits and disputes. I guess I can say I’ve been successful as a lawyer, but creativity is fairly limited in this field.
The roleplaying experiences of my youth made D&D an indelible part of my life. I actively returned to roleplaying a few years ago, first as a player and later as a DM. With hindsight, the first maps I prepared were fairly poor, even the ones I first put up on Patreon, as they were often made with inferior textures and assets. At the time, I didn’t know about the software I’ve been using day after day for the past eight months, yet I was very keen on realizing my ideas and I was proud of the results even if, professionally speaking, I’m not fully satisfied with all of them today.
What makes me incredibly grateful is that You accompanied me through this learning process, not just with an onslaught of helpful and benign comments and sharing, but also with your financial support, providing me with the creative freedom that allowed me to decide what I wanted to do.
Many of your names are now familiar to me from all the valuable comments and letters I received from you. It’s incredible to think that in less than a year such a supportive community has been developed around this concept.
Thanks to your money and trust, you’ve turned a lawyer into a Cartographer.
Therefore, beyond offering my thanks, it’s my task to make the best possible content for You, which includes even more map variations and modular scenes.
I am still open to your suggestions and will do my best to satisfy the requests that inspire me, yet Patreon is fundamentally a platform of support that puts a great deal of emphasis on creative freedom. From September, I’ll have an assistant for all of this.
Oh, and it goes without saying that legal assistance for chaotic good patrons free of charge :)

Dynamic Dungeons
I think Hd is good enough, and yes there are no so much content for UHD res yet. I’ll continue to make gridded maps which’ll be optimized for 40”. On a larger display I suggest to use the Dynamic Dungeons Editor and Player’s custom grid function. Some cool, new advanced features will be in the upcoming 1.1. version to make the perfect hex or quad grid.

I am sold. I just renovated my house with a dedicated game room and a gaming table on order. I do have one question. It sounds like the standard maps are optimized for a 40" TV while UHD uses a 50" TV. I should have room for the larger TV, but I am concerned that the content is not there. Would you recommend a 50" TV for the UHD content? Note that I am partially doing to save prep time and don't want to have to resize and add a grid to every map.

I love these maps / videos, thank you. I wanted to know if there is a group of videos that complete a specific area. The town for example. Each map only shows "so much" . Are there a group that can be put together to show it in its entirety?
