Cragmaw Castle Animated - Day / Night versions - Free D&D Fan Content
🕑 Added 2020-05-07 10:54:24 +0000 UTCI'm pleased to announce a new piece of DD's completely f-r-e-e fan content series animated maps. Please comment down below, which official Dungeons & Dragons map would you like to see coming to life.
Patrons, thank you for your generosity! Besides the normal rewards you already used to get every month, I'll be able to release free maps from time to time for the community. You're not charged for this, it's a free giveaway, You made this happen!

I'll pay attention to your comments, and the most suggested maps will be created and will be available for the role-playing community. In these series you'll find day and night version seamless looping UHD videos and high-resolution static images as usual.
I welcome any suggestions you may have. Should I continue making maps of LMOP, or pick something more fresh? Let me know what should come next!

Wondering if we can get this in a .webm version?
Florian Pilgram
Is there the possibility to get it without grid?
Leonid
Can you rerender it as webm?
Jason
Any chance these can be converted to a WEBM format?

This is the best campaign to introduce new people to DND, I would love to see the Red Brand Hideout and the Ruins of Thundertree. Small maps of the side quests would be cool too. I'm sure everyone would like to see a map of the actual mine too, but that would be quite a large undertaking.
BJ Vander Linden
I would love to see more from LMOP. I'm just getting into D&D with my adult children and their friends. We're all tech geeks so this is amazing.
Maria Galarza
I am very new and just joined your Patreon today. My family and friends are playing LMOP as we speak... So this is amazing!!! I would love to see more maps from the ready to play campaigns as that is what we will personally be doing for a while.
Elliot Romero
I joined (CG Patron) just for these maps and to help with your endeavor. Please make more LMoP! It is a great starter set and will help with your exposure. Thanks!
Tyrell Hales
I think starting with LMOP is the best place to start because everyone new will start there, and you'll probably get more exposure to new patrons that way.
Brandon Riley
Is there a way to add filters or something along those lines so we could say use this castle in Avernus or greyscale a little for a early winter time frame.
Omair Quraishi
WATERDEEP: DUNGEON OF THE MAD MAGE - it's such a great package. But I hate those boring maps. Not a fan of that style that were published with it.
Alex Petsas
Definitely more Descent into Avernus - as it stands we lack proper maps from there
Ryan Hipp
I would love to see the Gloomhaven map scenarios turned into Dynamic Dungeons!
Fey Rowan
I'd love to see some Storm King's Thunder myself...
David
Can we get a fully restored Cragmaw Castle? I like the ruin version but I would like one that is not in ruins.
James Weaver
Just some city maps for a city under an active siege would be sweet. Could use for Elturel or other things.
Tillerz

John Hann
Elturel in Decent into Avernus
Jon
This is great. Thank you.
JC Mazdzer
Or the Hunting Lodge
JC Mazdzer
Skyreach from Hoarde of the Dragon Queen
The Many Sided
I agree, but i would suggest a series of maps for each module. DMs would be flocking to you for those maps
Matthew Halnon
I've already run both LMOP and COS but have to agree with Paul above. An animated map of the crypts in Ravenloft would be a great wow factor. No spoilers or anything, but the ambience describes the rolling fog on the floor and other things that you'd be great with. Selfishly I'll vote for a higher level Mad Mage or if those are too big maybe just the Yawning Portal (serves everone!)
Wagner Bonilla
LMOP is an entry campaign for the fantastic rpg universe, many new players enter the hobby through it. A series of maps for this campaign would almost be a social service for the community. Many DMs use this campaign several times for this feature, in addition to being one of the best rated. The dream after that would be "The Curse of Strahd". Keep up the great work.
Paul Albers
The Dark Powers will give you a special gift if you would provide such fine maps of Castle Ravenloft.
Ray Gallardo
Oh man I've been waiting for this and the hideout! This is great!
Steve Wooten
Thank you!! Perfect timing; I'm DMing LMOP and this is perfect! Any/all LMOP maps would absolutely WONDERFUL!!!
DM Andrew Campbell
Dragons of Icespire Peak would be a nice addition indeed.
Brett Steadman
I would love to see a non-ruined version of this map too. My players took this over and restored it to be their own, soit would be awesome to have a rebuilt version of cragmaw keep that you could populate with props. Plus it's a pretty good looking castle for any setting.
Ivan L
Redbrand Hideout too
Ivan L
PS love this!
Ivan L
Deep Water cave would be epic.
Faust Faustian
I love this! Please keep making LMOP maps. Thanks!
Dusey
I'd love to see a version with the northern opening more obscured. According the the text that opening is supposed to be non-obvious from the outside. There are so many of the official adventures that would benefit from having animated maps, but I think LMOP is a great candidate to create a complete set for. It gets played by so many people. I've played it, DM'ed it, and will sure DM it again. Dragons of Icespire Peak may be another good candidate. LMOP is good because a complete set seems imminently more doable than one of the larger campaigns.
Zero The Grimm
Same. There gridless?
AAW Games
Do you have static maps without the grid? Thank you! PS- Emailed you back a week or so ago! Would love a response. Thanks!
Adam Pletcher
The VTT Enhancement Suite is a browser plugin that lets you use animated background maps on Roll20 (at least). https://ssstormy.github.io/roll20-enhancement-suite/
Jay Gattis
I'm literally running Cragmaw Castle this Saturday... PERFECT! You win!! Thank you! Incredibly beautiful! Is there a VTT that can handle these m4v maps? We use FG VTT but it seems like they only do flat image maps.

These are awesome. I won't be running the adventure, but I am wondering if I can scab together a clean, unruined castle from these. (Players are going to try to retake a ruined castle and rebuild it.)
Jeremiah Sells
The lairs of the Giant Lords from Storm King's Thunder would be great! Especially Ironslag!
Christian A Ferrer
Creepy animated Curse of Strahd maps would be AWESOME, thats my pick!
Lou Anders
Actually, now that I think about it, color animated versions of the b&w maps in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage would be GREATLY appreciated!
Heinz Kreienbaum
Isn't the castle already published similar enough after some renovations? Great thing for you, btw. To have PC manage something like s castle, a city or even a small space Station has brought wonderful stories to my games.
Jeff Jackson
Will these be release in un-gridded versions, please?
Evan Clarke
Would it be possible to get a non-ruined version of the castle? My players claimed it and started renovating it in my current game :)
Adam Pletcher
LMOP = Lost Mine of Phandelver
Michael Taylor
Yes ToA would be superb, running it now on Roll20 and already using lots of your maps in it that I have used instead of the actual maps. Some DD maps would be so much better!
Dániel Mezö
I am so hyped right now.
John Fisher
I was debating on whether I should start LMOP with a new to D&D group, and this is answering the question. I second the request for part of wave echo cave, or a modular version of it.
Adam Pletcher
LMOP is great, also some Tomb of Annihilation would be amazing.
Wagner Bonilla
incredible job! Please keep making the other maps of the LMOP, it is a popular and great campaign. I have many groups always starting with her.
Markus Scherer
The same here :)
Nicholas Oliver
Could you make maps for the free quarantine adventures that D&D Beyond has on their website like Frozen Sick, The Sunless Citadel, The Forge of Fury, Dragon of Icespire Peak? They have maps on there already but they are not very good and really, not animated and look even worse when you try to enlarge them to 1" squares for a TV.
Philip
My players haven't gotten to Wave Echo Cave yet, I too would love your rendition or at least the boss room for a more epic introduction into boss battles.
TheGnomeGod
Awesome! I'm running LMOP with friends at the moment and they would love this! Wave Echo Cave please!
Marc Rogers
Amazing work. I would love more LMoP maps as well as other published adventure maps.
Lou Anders
Fantastic. Wish I’d had this when we played LMoP. Wouldn’t object if you did Storm King’s Thunder next.
Heinz Kreienbaum
I don't even know what LMOP means, and I'm always begging for more universal stuff anyway (scifi and Dragon Age gamer here), so... Fresh please! ☺
Todd Cornell
Man you even threw Venomfang flying over at night, nice touch.
Todd Cornell
Man this came right in time, running a game for my son and some neighborhood kids. They are going to explore the redbrand hideout next session and soon off to Cragmaw. This Patreon is great!
Christopher Hofmann
i love your maps.. please make sure that you upload for every map a gridless version.. its important for me. Thx and make it fine :)
Björn Sundell
Will we be getting a 50" version to?
IBDeliverance .
Awesome. Running LMOP for my kid and her friends currently. This is the first revisit to playing/DM'ing D&D for me since the early '80's. My players are all very interested in visiting Ravenloft/COS, the maps for that module look ripe for dynamic maps.🦇🧛
Tony Quinn
You beauty, more of this stuff please!
CPTN_Cosmo
more LMOP and Dragon of Icespire Peak please! :D this is amazing, can't wait for my party to get there
SteveWasEre
Running this campaign with my kids right now, this is so awesome, thank you! I would vote very selfishly for more LMOP of course 😉
