LMOP: WAVE ECHO CAVE - North Barracks, Smelter Cavern, Old Streambed, Collapsed Cavern, Temple of Dumathoin
🕑 Added 2021-12-28 17:34:39 +0000 UTCI’m bringing you two of the probably most well-known locations of Wave Echo Cave - Smelter Cavern and the Temple of Dumathion and other adjacent rooms and areas.
"A blast furnace and a mechanical bellows powered by a waterwheel dominate this large chamber. The furnace is cold and dark, but heaps of coal are piled nearby, along with carts full of unrefined ore. The waterwheel sits in a ten-foot-wide channel cut into the floor of the room, but the channel is dry."

"Six cracked marble pillars line the walls of this hall, at the north end of which stands a nine-foot-tall statue of a dwarf seated on a throne, a mighty stone warhammer across his lap. Large emeralds gleam in the statue's eyes."

As for the official adventure modules, I'll be focusing more on Curse of Strahd next year, but as always, there will be variations for those who don't play the official adventure. I'll also continue doing encounter scenes for your urban campaigns, but you'll find maps for Avernus, jungle, and winter locations too. (And, this is not the last post of the year, so stay tuned!)

As usual, I created a more generic cave for those not DMing this specific adventure. I named it Underdark Cascade, but it’s inclusive enough to be played in the Upper Realms, too — especially with the extra props available.

This map variation is free Chaotic Good exclusive content, so you won't be charged for this and can find it in a separate post here.
Thank you for your continued support!

Hi Tom, happy to have you in the community! The Dynamic Dungeons Editor and almost every VTT supports fog of war. https://youtu.be/gy3vH9rvgbU?t=371

HI! I'm a bit late to the party ;-) I love who these look. But I was wondering is there a way to use fog of war on these? for example I would like to hide room 3, 4 and 5 while I'm showing the map of area 1....

Yeah that’s what I ended up doing. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Thanks for the quick reply!

These are not simple top-down view maps, the perspectivic camera gives us the 3d feel. It wont look good if you stick them together in one big image. Still, you can make a project containing all locations and play the one where your players have an encounter and switch to another if they explore new areas.

are these supposed to match up? i was trying to put them all together in one big map and they dont seem to match up at all

Love all the work you put into these! Also I was wondering if I missed it in a post but what is the grid size so I can size it properly?
hey! good work! Is there perhaps an overview of how the cards belong together?

These are awesome maps, useful for any underdark scenario. Thank you!
I definitely appreciate the generic varieties of these maps as I don't normally run official WotC adventures. Keep up the good work.
