(I would prefer the maps you make, but if there aren't any more for Castle Ravenloft, I'd like to be able to add animations to still image maps as a second-best option. Is this possible?)

Glad to see Foundry getting a shout out here. Curious if there's something more coming of this? Cause I use Dynamic Dungeon maps on Foundry all the time, and being able to use some of the cool lighting features that the DD Editor supports in Foundry would be awesome.

They are Virtual Table Tops. VTT... I use Dynamic Dungeons Maps when we can't all be in the same room and we play remotely using Foundry VTT.
Dynamic Dungeons
DD editor was made for local gaming and these VTTs (Astral and Foundry) support videomaps too, but for online gaming. You don’t need to have these apps, it’s just another option for those who don’t play in person. I keep developing DD Editor and Player and I’m focusing to make the most easy to use tool for local gaming. Editor and Player 3.5 is coming in few days with some cool new features.
I don't understand. What the heck is Foundry and Astral?? Are these new programs we need for Dynamic Dungeons maps?? Why even advertise this, if you have you own program you built from the ground up??

Foundry runs them fine, but performance optimization must still be on their todo list. You're better off with the webms, especially if you aren't sure all your players have machines suitable for nearly every task.

I looked at the features for Foundry VTT and decided to pull the trigger on a license. Can confirm that it works with Dynamic Dungeons maps out of the box. Edit: I also had a player connect with his toaster and he could load even the mp4 versions of the maps, not just the webp ones. Foundry seems very performant as compared to something like Tabletop Simulator (in which he couldn't load the maps when last I tried).
Hi, does this mean that Dynamic Dungeon maps are compatible with VTT or Astral? I've been trying to find a system to play with dynamic maps online with my mates for a while now.
