REMOTE ISLAND

There is an island. Or is there? This island is not your everyday treasure island. Sandy beach? Check. Palm trees? Check. Giant triton shell hut? Hmm, yes there is one. Hag living in the hut? Yes, and she is waiting for her guests. Still, the main danger of this remote place is not even the evil fey creature, but the island itself! Because it is not an island. At all! It is a giant turtle, snugly swimming across the endless ocean.
How will your PC-s hear of this mystical location? It is mentioned in a nursery rhyme around the shores of the ocean. Bards may sing about it in taverns. Lost and found papyri have them in libraries. Or maybe this verse is the answer to a puzzle? Use it as it suits your campaign. Not surprisingly, most adventurer parties will find these lines too nice to be true, too welcoming, too pleasant. So they will arrive prepared, and ready for any danger, like a hag from the sea. But will they be prepared for the sea itself when the island starts to sink?
I plan to complete this set with a sinking and an underwater version in March, and an empty version with props to let you build your own turtle island. Share your ideas on what versions and props you'd like to see.

Sublime ... Wonderful and full of poetry ... Bravo for this creation which takes us back to our childhood dreams. I have four young adventurers from D&D BECMI (6 years old, 11 years old, 14 years old and 17 years old) who are at this very moment, lost with a boat adrift in a vast ocean ... And few hopes. I think that this "very living" island will appear on the waves and upset the rest of the epic for the better. ;-)
I'm running Rime of the Frost Maiden right now but need to put together a once shot of some game to use this amazing map ... Maybe the old World of Darkness Changeling game?

Thanks Jesper! :) with the upcoming version of the Editor we’ll be able to put grid over props. Just imagine how cool will it be to put sandbanks and islands to these nice plain waters and build a custom scene. I’m on it!
