RIVER CHASE - Cg tier level
🕑 Added 2022-11-27 09:04:52 +0000 UTCMany of you have asked me over the past months to create a scrolling map for a river chase encounter. I already created such a thing a while back and I found it to be a nice challenge I enjoyed.
Once I get inspired by an idea, especially when more of you ask for it, I usually discard everything else and plunge into the new thing, and this is exactly what happened now, too. Although my plans for the month have been overwritten, and thus the additional maps I promised, like the adventure module (connecting to the Haunted battlefield locations) will be postponed a little, I hope you don’t mind and you are going to fancy this set.
Not only has a scrolling map been made, but three other ones too, with fixed camera positions. In one of these scenes, the river ends in a waterfall. (this might be something that players can survive)
There are two exclusive maps with a fixed camera. One of these can be suitable for the adventurers as a starting position, or a place to moor their boat
and another one ending in a big waterfall (that can hardly be survived by those who fall in)
I will send the exclusive maps to those supporting every or three creations. If you don’t receive these by tomorrow, don’t feel left out, support every or three creations, and next month you’ll get it.

I’d be happy to receive some ideas on what kind of variations I might add to this. I can come back to this topic in a different style if need be. Misty shadowfell, lush vegetation, and jungle, icy or swampy? Any other ideas maybe?

Don't suppose you could make a version for traveling upriver. Water flowing one direction, camera moving the other direction. For a steamboat adventure!

is there a version of this with a static camera but moving river in just the river part of the scene not the waterfall part

There was already a road chase scene, if I'm not mistaken, wandering in the wilderness. It's from 2020-02-29. It wasn't moving too fast though. Not that I missed that, I find the quicker one here a bit too fast.
