STREAMSIDE GROVE (CG tier level)
🕑 Added 2023-03-30 09:44:53 +0000 UTCHow is a new map born? Often times I feel like a painter waiting for that inspiration in front of the canvas. First there is only a faint idea, then something starts to take shape on the screen without having much to do with the final map.
It’s very easy to get lost in this phase of the work to the extent that I don’t even know for how long I have been experimenting with assets, colors, lights and textures. Sometimes it takes days of fidgeting, twisting, undoing and repositioning trees to find the right path where I feel I will end up creating something great.
Sometimes I need trips like this, where I’m not creating a map for an existing adventure campaign, but I allow myself to create a scene out of the blue. This is exactly what happened right now, as this is cute little forest was born after it was combined with a drone footage, too. Not only is it so scenic, by it also gives you an exciting encounter location with difficult terrain and places of cover.

Once the assets and tree animations worked out so nicely I figured I’d go further and create a more generic forest location in similar style, too.

I also created a feywild themed version, which I am sending out to those who supported all three creations last month. (If you don't get this exclusive one by early April, don’t feel left out, but support every or three creations and you will get it in the following month).

Next month I will surely continue the maps for the 5e adventure about the necro brothers. Additional exciting dungeon parts are to be expected and finally you’ll be getting the closing sequence, as the second ever adventure of Dynamic Dungeons will reach its conclusion.
I have also started working on two maps for the Dragonlance adventure by WOTC, because the locations in the book are refreshingly generic and can be used outside the adventure, too.

I love these. My one off adventures take a few days to get there so these maps are perfect for ambushes or rescues on the way. A night and shadowfell version would be awsome on any of the maps. And yes to the finish of the mask, silent and grinning campaign. My husband is ready to start that campaign. His character got the preview as a dream sequence for his twilight cleric.

Was an email sent with the Feywild version? I don't see it?

I look forward to these every month. I almost entirely use TV table top maps in my campaigns now because they are so easy and so beautiful...my Dwarven Forge pieces are collecting dust.

Awesome work

Love this! Not as flashy as some of the other map packs, but useful across way more situations. I'm brainstorming fun battles just looking at these. Great job as always.

Gorgeous as always! Love your work! Some of the most real feeling maps around. Love the Fey Wild version, I would love to see a shadowfell version of it, maybe as an extra.
