I took a part time position to allow time for creating content, and it worked in the sense I had a predictable income stream, but was also tiring. Maybe not a fair comparison because my part-time thing was in a restaurant where we got lunch and dinner in addition to our pay every day we worked but that shit was exhausting. Ten years later I was self-sustaining and debt-free but the art suffered. So it's a balancing act. Just stay focused on what you really want to create, that helps it flow better.

Honestly this whole "job" thing has left me wondering if I should put effort into making more of a career out of art. Maybe not professionally, but pushing more commissions and what not. Dunno.
