Ultimate Immersion v0.7 update news
🕑 Added 2019-10-01 13:18:40 +0000 UTCSo, this update will be a little bit late this month because I had to graduate my college and I did it! I'm officially done with my college so I can dedicate more time to work on this project!
Obviously I had to focus on my final thesis and presentation in front of university, but good news is I already started on the next v0.7 update and should come in about two weeks time.
I will focus on living room interiors and decorations, for which I took many new photos for textures already in the past month, that will come handy for the interior assets. I still have to take a few more I imagined but have to first see where to even get them. Again it's going to be a bit challenging at some parts because I want to really focus on decoration details to make interiors warmer and more lively which will take a bit of time and experimentation in the limited Minecraft engine, while keeping the assets as performance friendly as possible.
I'm also exploring new approach on model functionality, meaning you'll be able to actually interact with the interior models. There are infinite possibilities for that which I first have to explore so I'd rather keep them for the later updates, but just want to give you a brief look into the future plans of my project.

I am pretty annoyed cuz I just bought a 12 quid membership thing just so I can download the 204x2048 texture pack and its saying I cant download it

Thank you, I will most likely do that once the project evolves to more complex form. It’s quite a lot of extra work to prepare so many packs but I will definitely do it.

I did, I’m using E9 and I covered it in installation tutorial. Thanks for the heads up tho :) It’s still not as good looking as in 1.14 water-wise but at least custom model shadows are removed.

I'm not sure if you've explicitly mentioned this but E8 and E9 work with 1.12.2, if you use Optifine F4, so I guess 1.12.2 isn't dead for SOOS users just yet.

I followed in tutorial and I was able to install version 1.12.2 without problems. Everything looks great and runs at a good amount of fps (60-75) with shaders and textures, which surprised me pleasantly.

That's really good, I'm sure they love it. The procedure is exactly the same with addition to install Forge (mod loader) for my interior mod support. See the full tutorial I did on my Youtube channel. It's explained in a the easiest possible way.

It's still going to be for 1.12.2, updates for later version will come later because it's a lot of work to change the whole mod structure, but it's definitely an important task to make.
