Ultimate Immersion v1.8 update news [1.12.2/1.14]
🕑 Added 2020-08-31 15:37:41 +0000 UTCHey guys, I've been doing some really exciting new stuff recently that may revolutionize this project in so many ways, but it's still too early for me to bring it up here as these experiments tend to be somewhat unstable or very performance demanding. I will let you know more as soon as possible and give you first insight screenshots.
My first goal will be to focus on version 1.16.2 most likely next month already, but we'll see how things evolve. I will skip 1.15 since many mods including Optifine did the same. 1.16.2 is still unstable for Forge and Optifine at this point but beta testing is out since last week, so I'd like to wait for a stable version.
Anyways with the next v1.8 update I'll bring in more interior furniture like cupborads, tables, closets etc. Also interactive window blinds. No beds yet since I have that planned for my experimental project, I'm sure you will be very pleased IF I can make it happen. I will however bring you this wood you see below which I'm really happy about. It tiles really well and it looks amazingly detailed. Definitely one of my best textures to date.
Next update will still be for versions 1.12.2 and 1.14.4 as usual but with version v1.9 or more likely 2.0 I will stop supporting older versions and only focus on latest ones, just as a heads up!

Thank you so much, appreciate you like my work! Yes light emission is limited in the current version of PTGI, as far as I know E13 should fix a lot of current issues, but we all have to wait until then.

Love the work and I'm glad to see more is coming! One quick question though, I noticed the light blocks and PC "glow" but don't actually emit any environmental light. I've Installed the emissive textures files. Is that currently in the works/ even possible with this stage of PTGI?

Hi, I have no idea why it doesn't work for you. My patrons don't have issues with that. Have you tried different browsers, maybe even mobile app or browser?

I fukin love this guy, I feel like this guy is underappreciated. I wonder how he gets his motivation, from umsoea seus or pulchra I bet? Anyways, your work is next level and you make minecraft look like its from another universe. God bless this guy's modmaking and texture making.

If you installed the mod and loaded resource pack correctly you should have dark oak door. As for the lights you need to install PTGI emissive files. Please read the whole post to understand how to install it.

The modded texture for the dark oak door doesn't seem to work, as well as your modded light blocks don't emit light? Is it something I need to fix in my settings?

That's great - thanks. Been looking for something that was more realistic and love the work you've done. Will check out some other shaders that can run - though it's more about the elements and the resource pack to get a finer result.

When it comes to Mac it's only the shader that you can't run. Although PTGI plays a huge role in this, you can still use any other shader with my mod or none at all, for the price of visuals of course.

Awesome stuff. I'd love to get this running on a Mac but so far it looks like it's best suited for just powerful PCs. Do you have any recommendations for running on a MacBook?
