See, there is always an option to "Join for Free" on patreon. Even creators with very expensive and no free tiers have it. So even if $3, you should separate it from the free variant. Maybe free tier could include some unused images, polls or some testings if you were to be doing. As for what changes to the $3 one, completely upto you. On a side note, an appreciator of your work.

The way I see it, the 3$ tier is primarily to support you

What I could propose is that you keep your Tier free, so that people who are curious about your work and go to your profile to check it out can see your work. But my proposal is the following: You upload small teasers, they could be like 5 or 8 images, and in another publication upload the complete set

$3 is chump change for me bc I follow a bunch of artists on this site. I'm mid tier on a good amount and most are at low tier for posts. If I could pick more than 1 option for this it'd be the first and third ones.

Adrian

Oh yeah maybe I could keep Free Subscription Tier for Announcing Posts, Sneakpeeks etc.

I myself keep my stuff very cheap so I’m not the best one to judge. I’d say price your stuff how you feel. I make some free content for people but that’s just me. Also where do you go to post on Reddit ? Could use a sub where I’m free to post my content as much as I want.

I think you should still keep the free tier around to use for announcement posts like this. For content separation you could have occasional select content posted on the free tier to incentivize joining a higher tier. Or teaser images of larger sequences or comics. The other good incentive is timegating the content. Pay a little bit of money to see the content weeks in not months in advance of the public. Some people will pay for the convenience.
