We recently crafted a test set of unique rules for the RENEGADES OF PAIN GENERAL, tailored for a skirmish wargame. We hope you’ll enjoy this new addition and the depth it can bring to your tabletop battles.
Furthermore, we are now pondering the idea of developing similar custom rulesets for our other miniatures. This would allow you to adapt and integrate them seamlessly into your favorite wargames, RPGs, or any tabletop game of your choice.

And here is the set of rules for the RENEGADES OF PAIN GENERAL
Background: The RENEGADES OF PAIN GENERAL is a vile and potent leader, commanding hordes of Renegades of Pain. Though not of the legendary stature of the Dark Elders, this general has made a name for himself with his cunning, ruthlessness, and uncanny ability to unleash havoc and suffering.
Faction: Renegades of Pain
Type: Hero
Role: Infantry, Leader
PROFILE:
- Movement (M): 6 inches / 6 hexes
- Melee Weapons (MW): 4+
- Ranged Weapons (RW): 3+
- Strength (S): 4
- Toughness (T): 4
- Attacks (A): 3
- Leadership (Ld): 8
- Armour Save: 4+
WEAPON OPTIONS:
The General may be equipped with one melee weapon and one ranged weapon from the lists below:
Melee Weapons:
Power Claw
- Strength: x2
- AP: -3
- Damage: 3
- Abilities: Each time the bearer fights, they can make 1 additional attack with this weapon.
Chainsword
- Strength: User
- AP: -1
- Damage: 1
- Abilities: Each time the bearer fights, they can make 2 additional attacks with this weapon.
Chaos Forged Sword
- Strength: +1
- AP: -2
- Damage: 2
- Abilities: Wound rolls of 6+ with this weapon inflict 1 mortal wound in addition to regular damage.
Ranged Weapons:
Bolt Gun
- Range: 24"
- Type: Rapid Fire 1
- Strength: 4
- AP: 0
- Damage: 1
Laser Gun
- Range: 30"
- Type: Assault 2
- Strength: 3
- AP: 0
- Damage: 1
Plasma Gun
- Range: 24"
- Type: Rapid Fire 1
- Strength: 7 (Overcharge: 8)
- AP: -3
- Damage: 1 (Overcharge: 2)
- Abilities: On a hit roll of 1 when using the Overcharge profile, the bearer is slain.
HERO ABILITIES:
- Leader of the Renegades: Any Renegades of Pain units within 6" of the General can re-roll failed morale tests.
- Aura of Pain: Enemy units within 3" of the General suffer a -1 penalty to their Leadership.
- Master of Agony: Once per game, at the start of your turn, the General can invoke the Dark Gods for a boon. Roll a D6 and apply the effect:
- 1-2: Bloodlust: +2 Attacks this turn.
- 3-4: Protection of Pain: +1 to the General's Save until your next turn.
- 5-6: Mayhem Speed: Double the General's Movement for this turn.

I do like the idea of rules that work with other systems, but also have unique effects, but as others have stated it's not really a priority for me. If making rules negatively impacts production quality/quantity I'd rather just have the designs rather than rules to go with them. That said if it doesn't negatively impact those and is used as a nice refresher/pallette cleanser for everyone then by all means go for it!

Honestly I just want cool models. If you worked with OPR to make an army, that would be awesome. Otherwise I'll just proxy them in existing games we already play.
