Episode 4, Update #16

I'm still carrying on with work on the branch where you decide to stay and its coming together. There's a small hint in the preview of what's going to happen this episode. It took me some time to design a new standardized outfit, and I'm pretty happy with the result. Each side will have their own custom set to make them very distinct.
I've still got about a month left before the busy period and deadlines end at my daytime job, so hopefully I'll be able to pick up the pace again soon. I was getting annoyed at how long everything was taking me, and slightly worried where I'm at currently and what's still left to do. I looked back when I released episode 3 and the date I started physically rendering the first scenes of this episode. Considering the time I took off after release, the much needed technical upgrades and conversions, I didn't start the actually scene work until October. So all in all, it's not that bad, especially since I have far less time nowadays than before. Anyway, that's it for the devlog ramblings I guess.

Yes, it's a good way of estimating and I might have to take that into account in the coming releases. The previous ones were within a 6 month time scale, but that's no longer feasable with its complexity and the spare hours I have. 🥺

As I have learned, when estimating the time something will take you have to first take the longest time you expect, then double that, and then add another 20%. If you are lucky, it will not turn out taking too much longer than that estimate. I would not worry too much. As long as the final job is good (no doubt) then everyone should be happy 🙂.

"Are we the baddies?" Jokes aside each render is looking great, your making progress and putting stuff out each time for people to see. It make take a while but, I know you're going to make something great and to be proud of
